Celebrated every year since 2008, Record Store Day is set to take place this year on Saturday, April 13th. This year several area record stores are holding special events to celebrate.

Omega Music

This year Omega Music has a day jam-packed full of awesome offerings for record store day. Doors open at 8 am for a day full of live music, special offerings, and prizes. For those who get there early enough, Omega music will be passing out a limited number of "swag bags" as well as passing out bingo cards for a few rounds of bingo with prizes. Also in the morning, Wholly Grounds will be passing out free samples of their coffee. Perhaps the most exciting offering of the day will be sales of the limited edition beer,

Brainac, brewed by Warped Wing. To top that all the evening will feature live performances by Cece Beckham, Floodwalker, Place Position, and The Raging Nathans starting at 6 pm.

Skeleton Dust Records

For record store day Skeleton Dust Records will have many great offerings. Some of their offerings will include exclusive record store day releases, and bonus purchase giveaways. Also, this year Skeleton Dust Records will have food vending from La Pampa Mobile and Billie Gold Bubble Tea and free coffee from 11 am - 1 pm from local roaster Wandering Dog Bean Juice & Micro Roastery. Doors open at 11 am and will feature live DJs throughout the day.

Toxic Beauty Records

To celebrate record store day Toxic Beauty Records will have special titles available. Also this year Toxic Beauty Records will have ticket giveaways, a scavenger hunt, and goodie bags. Doors open at 9 am and be sure to add Toxic Beauty Records to your list of must check out stores for record store day.
